Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) 

The PSIRF, developed by NHS England, is replacing the Serious Incident Framework. This represents a significant shift in the way in which providers of NHS funded activity respond to patient safety incidents. 

IHPN, working through a member Reference Group, has provided opportunities to share the latest guidance and learning throughout the implementation of PSIRF, ensuring that members are ready for the change to the new approach. At our national PSIRF conference in June this year, over 60 members from across 32 organisations heard from early adopters and national leaders.
