Benefits of membership

We play a leading role in the independent healthcare sector, bringing
all types of independent providers together, supporting them to
deliver great care to patients and enabling them to make a positive
contribution to UK healthcare

Bringing all types of independent providers together

IHPN members deliver a wide range of different services to both NHS and private patients. IHPN brings all types of providers together through forums and groups, so that people can learn from one another and that our members’ views are amplified and communicated effectively to decision and policy makers.

Supporting you to deliver great care to patients

IHPN engages with national system, professional and healthcare regulators, such as medical royal colleges, CQC, NHS England, and the GMC, to help our members achieve consistently high standards of safety and quality.

“As a very busy Chief Nurse of a large healthcare organisation I very much value the horizon scanning and evaluation of changes to national policy, new directives, and regulatory matters that IHPN continuously carry out”

“The expertise and calibre of the IHPN team is exceptional.  They have proved themselves repeatedly and over time so I have the utmost confidence in the content of the updates and quality of advice.”

Carol Kefford OBE, Chief Nursing Executive, HCA Healthcare UK

Enabling you to make a positive contribution to UK healthcare

We provide regular insight on the healthcare business environment including “on the day” briefings on key policy updates; and regular analysis and data on NHS and independent sector activity; clinical quality; patient safety and quality. We also work closely with healthcare leaders across the NHS and Government to ensure that we can make positive contributions to UK healthcare, including by supporting the NHS recovery and enabling people to access private care.
