What we do

IHPN is the membership network for independent healthcare providers. We play a leading role in the sector by bringing all types of independent providers together, supporting people like you to deliver greater care to patients, and enabling positive contributions to UK healthcare.

At the heart of our network is the principle that our members work constructively and proactively with other healthcare providers, whether privately or publicly-funded, to deliver integrated care. Collaboration comes with conversation and networking, and we have many focus groups to help achieve the goal of first class, safe and efficient healthcare across our membership.

Bringing all types of independent providers together

IHPN members deliver a wide range of different services to both NHS and private patients. IHPN brings all types of providers together through forums and groups, so that people can learn from one another and so that our members’ views are amplified and communicated effectively to decision and policy makers.

Supporting our members to deliver great care to patients

IHPN engages with national system, professional and healthcare regulators and others such as medical royal colleges, CQC, NHS England, and GMC to help our members achieve consistently high standards of safety and quality.

Enabling members to make a positive contribution to UK Healthcare

We provide regular insight on the healthcare business environment and work closely with healthcare leaders across the NHS and Government to ensure that we can make positive contributions to UK healthcare including by supporting NHS recovery and enabling people to access private care.
