CQC – overall quality

The CQC lists over 5,600 independent healthcare locations on its database. This figure is around 600 higher than last year. These locations cover all aspects of healthcare, which we explore in depth below.

Generally, independent healthcare is rated very positively by the CQC with 90% of overall ratings for independent healthcare organisations being good or outstanding.

The chart below shows the percentage of independent organisations rated good or outstanding for all categories that have at least 20 ratings.

This report will focus on those areas most relevant to our members, i.e.:

• Acute hospitals
• Community provision
• Diagnostics
• GPs
• Independent doctors.
