Responding to the new Financial Conduct Authority “Financial Lives Survey” showing that 1 in 7 adults now hold private medical insurance (PMI), David Hare, Chief Executive of the Independent Healthcare Providers Network (IHPN), said:
“These latest figures from the FCA show that having private medical insurance is becoming the “new normal” for working people who are see it as essential for accessing the high quality care they need, at their convenience. Indeed, access to health insurance is seen as a top draw from any potential new employer with IHPN’s recent “Going Private” report finding that more than half of the public would be more likely to apply for jobs offering private medical insurance (PMI), rising to almost two thirds of 18-34 year olds – showing there is a clear role that employers can play in making it easier for people to access the healthcare they need.”
