Responding to the Government’s announcement of additional funding for the NHS this winter, an IHPN spokesperson said:

“We welcome the government’s announcement of £3 billion of extra funding for the NHS over winter which they have indicated will include funding for independent sector capacity. Discussions are ongoing between government and the independent sector over the short and medium term arrangements for the deployment of that funding.”
