There’s no question that climate change is one of the most significant issues facing us all, and we know that many colleagues in the independent sector take it very seriously.
So, on 18th September, we’re holding a half-day conference to bring together the industry, to discuss progress, opportunities to develop further, and how we collectively move towards achieving net zero.
It is nearly 2 years since IHPN launched our work programme to support members on their organisational journey to net zero.
A key part of this was the sector-wide industry’s voluntary commitment to net zero for scope 1 and 2 by 2035 and scope 3 by 2045, with the majority of members having signed up in support.
The conference will consist of two main sessions both focusing on reducing scope 3 emissions.
The first session explores how organisations can reduce emissions in relation to their investments and the second will highlight the importance of the employee voice and how clinicians and employees can drive change from the bottom up.
Details
The conference will take place on Monday 18 September at 1 Great George Street, Westminster, London, SW1P 3AA from 2pm-5pm, followed by networking drinks.
To ensure as many organisations are able to attend the event as possible, we will be limiting attendance to one person per member organisation, however we do have a waiting list operating on a first-come-first-serve basis, so please register any additional names you would like to attend in the event that we do not reach capacity.
