About Practicus
Andrew Vaux, Head of Independent Healthcare at Practicus

What a year – 2025 saw the continued rise in demand for the varied services the independent health sector delivers to our nation. The provision of high-quality patient centric care to NHS patients remained vital. The demand for self-pay and PMI services has remained strong and we also saw increasing pace in growth and innovation from the consumer healthcare sector.
Practicus is a leading provider of senior interim, permanent and executive resource to support change and transformation. We specialise in recruiting exceptional senior talent at pace, which is vital for IHPN members to ensure operational efficiency, clinical excellence, the maximisation of growth potential and the delivery of vital transformative programmes.
Practicus’ Advisory service is a free of charge solution that connects leaders with peers across our network who have faced similar challenges. Its exponential growth reflects an increasing openness to both seeking and sharing advice within our sector and beyond.
2025 was not without its challenges, however, IHPN’s membership and the IHPN itself, remained focused on delivering quality services and ensuring patient choice. As I look to 2026 and beyond, there will be more challenges ahead, however I think the flexibility, resilience and the ability of the sector to innovate is stronger than ever.
