Rachel Beverley-Stevenson
Founder and Chief Executive, OneMedicalGroup
Key areas of Expertise: Business, financial, operational, estates development and investment
As a CEO of a start up which has grown into a national multi-site and multi-service health care organisation over the last 20 years, across two distinct specialities; care delivery and property development, investment and advisory services, I have a very diverse set of experience that I feel would benefit any mentees. Including all the elements of business management and development from OD, legal, financial, funding, operational, health sector policy, estates development and investment, risk taking and management, innovative care models and wider to the softer side such as people management, coaching, leadership and so on.
What I think brings the most value is my approach to sharing learning and mistakes – I have made many and learnt from all of them which have contributed to how I run our growing group and support our colleagues. I am a passionate believer in developing individuals and helping them see the art of the possible as well as managing the fear many people have of putting themselves forward and making themselves heard.
As part of this approach I have been a long standing mentor to a number of people across a number of healthcare organisations and sectors and am always available to support, coach and encourage any member of our team. I am really proud of the fact that 80% of our Executive Team are female and the vast majority have grown through our organisation as have many other colleagues at all levels in our organisation. I am also a solution focussed thinker something which is vital in working within health!
On a personal note, I’m innately curious about other people, (sometimes termed as nosey!), and always want to help/support wherever I can by sharing whatever I can. I’m not afraid to challenge thinking in a positive way with the aim of getting a better outcome – whatever the action is!
