We asked a series of questions to help understand how our members feel the NHS and other political leaders view the independent health sector.

66% of respondents feel very positively or positively about the attitude of the current government to the independent heath sector – around the same as the 68% from last year. To maintain such positivity, particularly through a change of government, clearly demonstrates the cross-party consensus that has emerged in support of the independent healthcare sector.

Views about the NHS leadership’s attitude towards the independent health sector are almost identical to the last year, however looking over the longer term they have worsened. In 2022, 30% of respondents felt positively, compared to 22% last year and 20% this year.
