IHPN responds to new British Social Attitudes Survey into NHS satisfaction

Responding to the latest British Social Attitudes survey on public satisfaction with the NHS, David Hare, Chief Executive of the Independent Healthcare Providers Network (IHPN), said:

“It’s encouraging to see a small rise in public satisfaction with the NHS, but these figures still reflect a system under significant strain, with concerns about access and waiting times continuing to dominate.

“The NHS remains hugely valued, and patients rightly expect timely, high-quality care. The independent sector is a core part of the wider health system, working alongside the NHS to deliver free care to patients and help expand capacity.

“At a time of sustained pressure, making full use of all available resources across the system will be key to improving access, reducing waits and ensuring patients have real choice about where they receive their care.”
