With over three decades of experience spanning both the NHS and the independent healthcare sector, I brings a wealth of knowledge, credibility, and passion to the IHPN Women’s Leaders Network. Currently serving as the Group Director of Integrated Quality Governance at Spire Healthcare, my career began at the bedside —as a nurse and midwife— and has since evolved into senior leadership roles that shape the strategic direction of healthcare quality and patient safety.

Across 28 years in the NHS and more than 7 years in the independent sector, I have led with a steadfast commitment to transparent, compassionate care. I am a strong advocate for patients and their families, and my leadership has consistently delivered tangible results, including outstanding Care Quality Commission (CQC) ratings and recognition through national leadership awards.

In my current role, I have been instrumental in embedding the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) across Spire Healthcare. My collaborative approach—working with NHS England, the Independent Healthcare Providers Network (IHPN), and regulators across all three nations of the UK—demonstrates My ability to drive change at scale while maintaining clinical integrity and regulatory alignment.

My leadership is underpinned by deep operational insight, a values-driven ethos, and a genuine passion for developing others. I believe in the power of mentorship to lift women/all leaders, foster confidence, and enable bold, inclusive leadership across the healthcare system. As a mentor in the IHPN Women’s Leaders Network, I am excited to support the next generation of women shaping the future of healthcare.
