I worked as a doctor for many years, gradually moving into leadership roles, and then Board level Medical Director roles in three different NHS Trusts. I have since moved into a group medical director role with Spire Healthcare, and more recently taken on the role of transformation director. I have a broad skill set in governance, commercial and strategy, and enjoy applying the lessons from one part of my career to another area.

I have engaged in leadership roles throughout my career, learning to lead as a more junior team member as well as a Director and Board member. I have undertaken regional roles, where I have lead change without direct accountability, but achieving by influencing those with that accountability. Throughout, I have been supported by those who have recognised the value of my authentic and values driven leadership. At this point in my career, I am keen to support others to share the lessons I have learnt both about how to value yourself and your skills and to seek and accept support when things are challenging.
