Going Private

With record numbers of people now choosing to pay privately for treatment, IHPN have launched our annual “Going Private” report series to better explore public attituded towards private healthcare.

Conducted by Public First, the research canvasses more than 2,000 UK adults on their views, experiences and understanding of private healthcare, from willingness to use services and routes of access, to perceptions of quality, affordability and how private care interacts with the NHS.

Our “Going Private” research is now seen as the definitive view on public attitudes to private healthcare, showing that the public are increasingly comfortable with “mixing and matching” private and NHS care, with over 70% of the public saying they would consider “going private”, and almost 90% of those who have paid for treatment saying it was value for money.
