IHPN responds to new NHS "Help us help you" campaign

Responding to the NHS’ new “Help us help you” campaign to persuade the public to seek the urgent care and treatment they need, David Hare, Chief Executive of Independent Healthcare Providers Network, said:

“This new public information campaign to persuade people to seek the care and treatment they need is hugely welcome.

“The NHS has gone to huge lengths to ensure that it has all the capacity it needs to treat both COVID19 patients as well as those with urgent health needs such as cancer, heart conditions and strokes. This includes the deployment of almost 8000 independent hospital beds which have already been used to deliver care to thousands of NHS patients needing vital treatment such as chemotherapy and other major surgery.

“Patients should be absolutely reassured that the NHS is still there for them and those in need should not hesitate to seek help.”
